Tasting-Loredona Vineyards Riesling (white)+

Name: Loredona Vineyards Riesling
Variety: Riesling
Region: Monterey, California
Country: USA
Year: 2011
Price: $15

Shop/wine critic/winery review: If you like your Rieslings on the sweet side, this pretty wine is for you. It’s brisk in Central Coast acidity, with citrus, peach, honeysuckle and spice flavors that finish clean and long.

My review: Smells sweet like Moscato. It’s hard candy like, syrupy, maybe like candied flowers. It’s a decent taste. Very very sweet but not in a clawing way. It’s not something you could drink a lot of but it’d be good to sip. There is a rather strange disjointed element in the mid. I can’t identify it, but it detracts from the overall experience.

CONCLUSION: Would drink again.
