look: 3.75 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.25 | feel: 3 | overall: 3.25
Poured from 12oz bottle into 16oz mug.
Appearance: Dark amber in color with a smaller, fizzy off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves behind little lace, but does yield a slick foam that remains on top of the beer.
Smell: Sweet bready malts with a touch of grain and, of course, tart blackberry.
Taste: Begins with tart blackberry flavor which rounds out to be sweeter through the drink. Toward the end bready malts come through with a finish that is faintly grainy. Good, but something is missing here...
Mouthfeel: Lighter body, crisp carbonation with a faintly dry finish.
Overall: Not a bad beer and a decent example of a fruit beer, especially for a macro brewer. Not something I would personally seek out, but a respectable offering.

My review: Smells
hoppy with a sweet finish. Very smooth and no hint of bite in the aroma. The
taste is like the smell but intensified. It starts very hoppy and ends with a
sweet berry finish leaving a very pleasant taste in your mouth. The transition
from hops to berry isn’t the best. It’s too much sweet and too much hop to
marry together properly making it disjointed.
CONCLUSION: Might
drink again.
