Tasting-CalNature Cabernet Sauvignon (red)-

Name: CalNature
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Paso Robles, California
Country: USA
Year: 2009
Price: $ 16

Shop/wine critic/winery review: 95 % Cabernet Sauvignon with 5% Viognier this certified organic winery produces outstanding quality at reasonable prices offering classic Cabernet flavors of fresh herb, olive, cedar and cassis. Focused and intense, with a charming rustic side and broad tannins that firm up on the finish.

My review: This smells like something you’d marinate a steak in. It’s herby and reminds me of balsamic vinegar. The taste just horrible. It’s like drinking straight vinegar. There’s a tannin punch in the face and it leaves my whole mouth feeling fuzzy. There might be a bit of an olive flavor in the background, but it’s hard to detect anything past the nasty.

CONCLUSION: Wouldn’t drink if you paid me.
